I started coughing for no reason. Ken had to have some tests done since he has M.S. and has always had a checkup every year to see if it is progressing. I thought it would be a good idea to have a check up, as well, since Ken was so concerned about my coughing. 'Just for the record, on the days of June 30/09, there were 30 loads hauled from the site. In the following week there were 53 loads taken.' I remained in the house since we both thought it might be the dust that was causing my cough. Ken went for his checkup and was told to have blood work done so I did as well. I told the Nurse Practitioner what was happening and they were concerned as well. They sent me to Perth Hospital for chest x-rays and were setting me up with a pulmonary expert to check my lungs. After all the tests were done they believed the dust was causing my problems.
In April /09 Crains installed screen er and that's when I started coughing.
Saw Practioning Nurse ________________.
May 28/09 Told her about my coughing And the sand and gravel pit she did blood tests and will make arrangement for chest x-ray and pulmonary expert.
June 10/09 Chest x-ray in Perth. Breath tests in Sharbot Lake with Pulmonary Expert.
June 29/09 Saw Practioning Nurse again for coughing said all my tests were good lungs are fine and advised us to move.
July 29/09 Had a cancellation so I got in right away. Coughing so hard had a big bruise on my stomach. She prescribed puffers and reactine and again advised us to move.
August 6/09 Crain's Installed Crusher called Township about the noise and dust. Was told nothing they can do not breaking any by laws.
August 17 2009 Called Nurse Practitioner ___________and told her that the puffer she gave her was helping she also told her that we had put the house up for sale. The Nurse Practitioner was very glad to hear that we had put the house up for sale. She was going to call pulmonary expert and see if she has any suggestions about the coughing and the sand and gravel pit.
During this time we had kept in contact with an employee of the Township who had been made aware of what was happening with Jeanine, we corresponded frequently about the gravel pit and what was going on with Jeanine.
Aug 20 2009 This was a very bad day for Jeanine she had to use her puffer 3 times during the day to help her breathe. I had found her a couple of times almost unconscious trying to breathe. She would start coughing so severely that once I wanted to call 911 to help her. She refused and she slowly recovered. The night was the worst when she would lay down she would start coughing.
. We were at our wits end Jeanine was stressed out she had been locked away in the home since all of this started. The only times she would go outside is when it was raining. The rain kept the dust down and that helped her breathe. We could not figure out what we ever did to anyone to deserve what we were being put through.
August 25 2009 Jeanine is using the puffer and it is helping her breathe. We had to leave the house and go down to the lake to have any peace. Jeanine seems to be weaker she was at the garage and had to run back to the house when one of the trucks were coming up from the gravel pit. She had to get inside so as to not breath any of the dust. She would cover her mouth and run for the house.
September 5 2009 Jeanine has decide to go home to her mothers for awhile. She is tired of being locked in her cage the noise and dust were extreme. Still no one would intervene on what was happening I had gone to see the councilman but I knew that was basically useless. The cats and I remained at the home I could not leave them and we could not afford to board them.
September 7 2009 Jeanine went home to her mothers she said the air is much easier to breathe. I only hope she gets better.
September 12 2009 Jeanine has returned from her mothers. The company has stopped crushing but are still taking material from the site.
September 14 2009 The company took a couple of loads and have not returned.
October 7 2009 Jeanine went to see the Nurse Practitioner she was having her lungs checked and received a letter from her advising us to move. The letter was for the court whenever the house finally sold.
These dated entries are from a journal that Jeanine kept. She recorded her worst days and what she was like. I never new of some of the entries and there are some entries that she should have wrote into it. She coughed so severely one night that she coughed a ball of flem the size of a hard ball.
This is a copy of that Journal.
To this point Jeanine and I had been working on gathering enough proof of what was going on.
